Aave is still dealing with DAO drama and the departure of key contributors, which has overshadowed its V4 launch, and the market is pricing in that execution risk. Morpho's stock-backed borrowing could bring tokenized-equity holders into its lending markets. It already supports USDC loans against tokenized S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 ETFs, creating another lending opportunity if stockholders become regular DeFi users.
