HVAC's limited pricing power means Comfort Systems USA's margin expansion story is over. If supply and demand return to normal, operating margins could fall toward the historical norm of about 5%, from 16.5% in the latest quarter shown. x.com

Hudson Technologies is a cheap option on refrigerant scarcity dated by federal law. A 2020 statute cuts HFC supply from 60% of baseline today to 30% on January 1, 2029, and EPA moves keeping legacy high-GWP equipment in service only add demand. From 2029 much servicing must use reclaimed refrigerant, and Hudson is a top US reclaimer. It trades near 1x sales with net cash. Risks: inventory overhang defused the 2024 cut, a defense contract is in rebid, and the reclaim mandate is softer. x.com

Data center cooling stocks lose as NVIDIA's Vera Rubin chips need no chillers. Per @HedgieMarkets, Jensen Huang said Rubin can be cooled with 45°C water, sending Johnson Controls down 6.2%, Modine 7.4%, Trane 4% and Carrier nearly 1%; the chips ship in the second half of 2026. With NVIDIA reporting $1 trillion of Blackwell and Rubin orders through 2027, AI capex is doubling, and on an Elliott Wave view the cooling stocks may be starting their own wave 3 to the downside. x.com  x.com

AirJoule could matter far more if its technology works at scale: it uses waste heat to pull moisture from air, producing water and making cooling cheaper for AI data centers. Early tests show up to about 40% energy savings versus desiccant wheels, though this is unproven at scale. It has run data center pilots, works with GE Vernova, BASF and Carrier, and has $35M of cash and no debt, enough through 2027. Meaningful revenue is not expected until 2027, and many firms never get past pilots. x.com

Daikin is the winner if Europe's air-conditioning shortage sends AC stocks higher. @PhotonBull notes that two hot days in Europe filled feeds with people trying to get air conditioning, a bottleneck that could send AC stocks flying. x.com

Comfort Systems USA is the more stable long-term holding than Vertiv, with an HVAC business available across the country and better fundamentals, so it merits about twice the position size, though both are worth owning. x.com

Comfort Systems USA, a contractor installing HVAC and electrical systems inside AI data centers, trades at nearly twice Nvidia's forward earnings multiple, even though Nvidia's chips and CUDA ecosystem made the entire buildout possible. x.com
