Broadcom's custom-chip share gains should support long-term growth even if AI spending grows more slowly than expected. Custom chips are clearly gaining share and likely to keep doing so. Broadcom is a quality compounder at a pretty attractive valuation. Semiconductor revenue grew 127% and infrastructure software 29%, backed by a high-quality management team and a strong moat. Its $35B of debt is the only downside, and $39B of free cash flow over the last twelve months keeps that very manageable. x.com 

Broadcom's great earnings don't matter much at a P/E of 93 and forward P/E of 37. Valuation is the problem, and Broadcom, like a lot of others, needs a 20%+ pullback. x.com 

Broadcom's stronger AI business looks cheap for its growth, making it one of the best buys in the market right now. AI chip revenue rose 221% to $16.7B last quarter, yet the stock trades at 19x forward earnings and a 0.35 PEG. Management sees AI revenue near $115B in fiscal 2027 and would raise that outlook if customers secure more land and power. Anthropic is on track to be its largest custom chip customer next year. Broadcom's demand case looks less credible because the person projecting a fourfold EPS increase by 2030 now says that demand comes from gamblers consuming tokens. Broadcom's growth opportunities support a premium despite its stock not being dirt cheap. The selloff was much needed for big winners like it. Broadcom now occupies the position Microsoft did when it was called a 'gift' at $350 and one of the simplest buys of 2026, with around 75-85% upside in 1-2 years.
