Penguin Solutions looks more like memory-cycle strength dressed up as an AI pivot story, and its price has already run ahead of that story. Its legacy AI factory business was concentrated in hyperscaler hardware, and the pivot to enterprise, neocloud and sovereign customers is a rebuild that the numbers do not show yet, with longer sales cycles and delayed bookings. It reaffirmed FY26 revenue and EPS at the high end of guidance, and its CEO says memory and AI infrastructure demand keeps growing. CXL lets GPUs use DRAM pools about 20x cheaper than HBM and 10-100x larger, easing the KV-cache bottleneck in long-context inference. Its memory business grew 63% last quarter, and it spent $109.2M of cash on inventory in Q2. On June 1 it guided FY2026 sales and EPS to the high end of its ranges, and AI infrastructure demand, especially for local models, should be insane in H2. Rosenblatt raised its target to $75. Memory is the part of the AI stack with pricing power now, as scarcity migrates from GPUs in 2023 to memory today. HBM is sold out, contract prices keep repricing higher, and Nvidia raised server prices citing memory costs; models cannot run without the memory to hold them. SK hynix's strong pricing and secured capacity could push memory stocks higher. Per Wall St Engine, its Q3 DRAM ASP rose by a high-20s percentage quarter over quarter, while long-term agreements cover more than half of its 2027-28 capacity. Those figures support the memory upcycle. x.com

DRAM prices rose 28% and NAND 25% in the quarter, while operating profit reached 62.8 billion against 58.5 billion expected; Q4 DRAM shipments are guided up 25% from Q3.
