Aehr Test Systems stands to benefit from Broadcom's custom AI chip ramp because these 600W–2kW multi-die packages need burn-in testing. Broadcom said XPU shipments rose 3.5x and laid out $115B of AI revenue in FY27 and $230B in FY28 with supply secured, backed by multi-gigawatt Google, Anthropic, OpenAI and Meta deployments. The bull case is reasonable: a young company with a strong position in silicon carbide burn-in, genuine hyperscaler interest in AI chip burn-in and room to expand into memory and logic. But the latest quarter showed revenue down 43% year over year, with no meaningful order conversion from the AI opportunities yet.
