Nvidia remains the undisputed king of AI compute and could become the Apple of AI hardware, cementing its position for a very long time. It is hedging the threat from customers' custom silicon, such as OpenAI's Jalapeño chip, by backing open-weight models and neoclouds, reducing its reliance on hyperscalers. Hardware competition may eventually pressure pricing, for example as memory costs fall, but margins are not under meaningful threat today, and the valuation is very attractive. x.com x.com x.com x.com
