Cerebras is curling up out of a double bottom on volume and looks good above $191 support. Upcoming lockup dates are worth watching. x.comÂ

Cerebras's wafer-scale chip makes AI inference faster than anything GPU-based, and that edge shows in its growth. Q2 cloud revenue rose 287% and core revenue 103%; 2026 core guidance rose to $880-890M and core gross margin to 41%. It is a launch partner for OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol at 750 tokens per second, on top of a $20B+ multi-year deal, with $25.4B of remaining performance obligations. Customers include OpenAI, AWS and AMD. An estimated 84M Class B shares unlock on Aug. 19. x.com x.comÂ
Cerebras is now worth buying after its shares fell into the previously stated $60-$120 buying range. The earlier concern was an out-of-control valuation and providing liquidity to insiders at much higher prices; the shares shown are about $117. x.comÂ
Vicor's efficient delivery of key power modules is part of the case for Cerebras meeting and exceeding its 2028-29 numbers. As models improve, more security breaches and deployments should make Cerebras look increasingly like a cybersecurity play. Its revenue ramp looks constrained by capacity, not yet by demand. Bullish on Cerebras but cautious on the broader market, with no short-term earnings prediction. x.com x.com x.com x.comÂ
Cerebras shares face selling pressure as a sizable unlock hits its tiny float. Per the prospectus, about 28 million Class A shares held by directors, officers and non-employee holders become tradable on the second trading day after Tuesday's earnings, only about three months after listing. With IPOs coming years later, VC and PE backers collect the gains while retail becomes exit liquidity, needing seven years of 70% revenue growth to justify the valuation. x.com x.comÂ
Cerebras and its customers likely accounted for many of the chip limitations alleged in the short report, so the report may be wrong. This is a suspicion without specific insight. Short interest rose 40.7% into the report to 19.86 million shares, or 8.4% of float. x.com x.comÂ
Cerebras' inference opportunity can support substantial long-term upside if installed capacity grows from 60MW to 3.2GW by 2031 and OpenAI renews after 2028. The risk-adjusted model puts 2031 value at $485-$700 per share while assuming rivals narrow its speed premium and customers and partners fund most capex. If those assumptions fail, capex, dilution and valuation risk rise. x.comÂ
Cerebras is likely heading lower after terrible earnings, with share unlocks about to add supply. Its valuation was so stretched that it couldn't afford a miss, and it apparently missed; a lot of hope was already built into the price. It could trade around $150 soon. x.com x.com x.com x.comÂ
Cerebras may be the only company willing to stitch together a true high-speed solution. If so, it retains upside optionality from high-speed pricing and gains a first-mover advantage. x.com x.comÂ
Cerebras keeps memory on the wafer, which suits agents making many latency-sensitive model calls; it might be the most interesting AI hardware stock to buy now and revisit in three years. UBS estimates revenue rising from $890M in 2026 to $22.6B by 2030 and operating margin from -18% to 46%. At $146, shares trade at about 20x UBS's 2028 earnings and 10x 2029. Execution is everything, but even halfway to those projections, $146 may not look expensive for long. x.comÂ
Cerebras still needs to come down further before it is worth buying. IPO stocks often rise sharply at first, then fall, and can take a long time to return to their original value, so entering at an expensive price right after the IPO is unappealing. The view is not entirely negative on Cerebras, and it should not be called a direct Nvidia rival. x.comÂ
Cerebras Systems offers the fastest AI inference chip available, a single wafer-sized processor with the model's memory on the chip, running inference several times faster than GPU systems. It has a $25.4B backlog, about 30x this year's revenue, partnerships with OpenAI, AMD and AWS, and no exposure to rising HBM prices. Concerns: a 14.2% GAAP gross margin, about $600M of free cash flow burned in the first half, roughly 80% of backlog tied to OpenAI, and about 171M shares unlocking in November. … Show more
