Zcash is hot because shills realized a year ago it has the perfect setup for them to size in, control the narrative and pump it. That setup combines a sweet-spot market cap, centralized-exchange integrations, a long dormant history and a simple 'bitcoin but private' thesis. x.com
Zcash looks weak against Ethereum on security and real use. It has a history of live critical vulnerabilities, including an infinite-mint bug that was exploitable for years, and although it is a privacy coin, most of its supply sits on centralized exchanges. Fees cover only 0.01% of its mining subsidy; miners have incentives to resist, while centralized governance lacks a workable stakeholder vote.
