Amazon's capex is its moat in the memory price bubble. Higher demand for Micron ultimately means higher demand for AWS and Amazon's own GPUs and CPUs. Neoclouds such as CoreWeave, IREN and Nebius lack vertical integration with a chip business and Amazon's high free cash flow, and many may not survive. Concern that megacaps cannot afford AI is short-termism: build-out costs are front-loaded, and cash flow should be exceptional in a couple of years as maintenance capex is much lower. x.com x.com x.com x.com
