Cloud is nearly a quarter of revenue, growing 103% at a 36% operating margin with a $561B backlog; total revenue rose 25%, operating income 30%, and margins are expanding. Free cash flow has been negative for two quarters, capex keeps climbing into 2027, and AI leaves search monetization uncertain. x.com 

Amazon's AWS acceleration keeps the AI investment bet compelling, but its financing burden is growing. AWS grew 39%, its fastest in five years, and operating margin reached a record 13.9%. Yet trailing free cash flow is negative $42.4B as capex exceeds cash generation, and long-term debt rose from $65.5B to $173.1B. AI usage outstripping compute supply for the foreseeable future supports semiconductor demand despite cheaper tokens. Token prices fell about 90% in roughly three months, yet usage rose by more than that drop, so compute pricing keeps rising.
