Supermicro is turning into a rack-scale solutions provider that prices like one, and its margins prove it. It pre-announced $60B of new orders in one quarter, more than five times what it shipped. Preliminary gross margins of 15-17% nearly doubled its 8.2-8.4% guide, up from 9.9% last quarter and 6.3% two quarters ago. Revenue will land near the low end of guidance, and backlog is at a record. Some orders could shift or cancel before delivery, and a board export-control review remains open. x.com
