Navitas offers exposure to Nvidia's push to 800V DC data-center power through its high exposure to SiC and GaN ICs for 800V DC. Nvidia has begun talks with major South Korean power equipment makers on DC infrastructure built around an approximately 800V system, a big signal that Nvidia is really driving the shift. Navitas is an option on Nvidia's 800V DC data-center architecture, where GaN handles the step-down from 800 volts to processor level inside the rack. The design halves power conversion stages so racks can reach the up to 8 megawatts Rubin Ultra needs, with full deployment alongside Kyber in 2027. Navitas, on Nvidia's partner list, is the only US-listed pure-play GaN company. Revenue is minimal until the Kyber ramp, and Nvidia's 29-company partner list means hard pricing pressure. x.comÂ
Denser AI accelerators raise the value of efficient power delivery near processors, potentially making Navitas one of the most hidden AI winners in Nvidia's architecture. Its 24 kW board targets single-stage 800V-to-12V conversion at about 97% efficiency in Nvidia's 400 mm by 60 mm format. An 800V-to-6V design developed with Nvidia and Claros offer other paths into the power stack. Navitas's place in NVIDIA's 800 VDC ecosystem carries little pricing power because the silicon tier is crowded. NVIDIA names fourteen silicon suppliers, Navitas among them, and rent comes from scarcity; SiC and GaN also split the socket by stage. Navitas Semiconductor's opportunity now spans the entire AI power stack, from the grid to the chip, not just GaN. As StockSavvyShay noted, closing Claros adds integrated voltage regulators next to AI processors and more than doubles Navitas's 2030 AI power opportunity to $8B, covering 10 kV SiC near the grid, 800V rack conversion, GaN in the rack and power at the chip. x.comÂ
Navitas is the highest-beta standalone pure play on gallium nitride for the shift to 800V DC data centers. It pivoted from consumer GaN chargers, where it was losing share to cheap Chinese rivals, to higher-margin AI data-center solid-state transformers, where it is seen as the default GaN supplier, even ahead of Infineon. An acquisition two years ago added credible silicon carbide capability. Execution risk is high for a small company making such a concentrated bet. x.comÂ
Navitas remains a wait-and-see name because its high-voltage products are years from real revenue. The US Army selected it for ALATTIS, a program to build domestic 10 kV silicon carbide power devices, which validates its engineering and fits its roadmap toward solid-state transformers for AI data centers alongside its Nvidia 800 V work. Navitas' AI power case got another green light: Nvidia's Jensen Huang says the 800 VDC power rack roadmap remains intact, with shipments in the second half of 2026. Navitas' GaN and SiC chips sit directly in the rack's power-conversion path, and its 5th-generation GeneSiC technology supports a pivot from low-margin consumer electronics toward AI data centers, grid and industrial customers. Navitas is a one-customer concentration story facing heavy competition from tier-one suppliers. Its GaN portfolio winning Nvidia adoption played out, but STMicroelectronics and Infineon also supply Nvidia and are strong in GaN and SiC. GaN output may quadruple by 2030, yet SiC prices were hammered by Chinese capacity, unresolved, so revenue and margins could diverge sharply.
