The index looks good and is pricing in some good news today, but Amazon, Intel and SanDisk earnings plus PCE and GDP arrive tomorrow, followed by AMD earnings and elections Tuesday. Expect one more, probably modest, dip Wednesday or Thursday next week before November's upward seasonality takes effect. x.com 

Nasdaq-100 downside could accelerate if QQQ falls below $712: dealer positioning at $700 and $690 would fuel the move unless the index reclaims its moving averages and breaks upward. July and September FOMC lows remain untouched, something that has not persisted across two consecutive meetings; taking out at least one in the next week would not be surprising. x.com 

The Nasdaq 100's drop on OpenAI's scary news is an overreaction, and mega caps remain very healthy. AI bubble fears let market makers scare retail and buy behind closed doors. Once the index tests 736-738 as its 21-day moving average catches up, it should take off again toward 800, led by Meta, Alphabet, Amazon, Broadcom, Nvidia, AMD and TSMC. x.com  x.com 

Rapid revenue growth makes the capex bear case harder to justify for Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta and Amazon. Their latest cited growth rates are 18%, 23%, 28% and 16% in Q2, respectively; their scale does not seem to be slowing them as expected. x.com 

Disappointing Amazon earnings make a Nasdaq 100 decline to the bottom of its range near 700 look likely tomorrow. It may be forming a range like the one that preceded the decline into the March low, but a sideways phase lasting as long as that one looks unlikely. x.com  x.com 

The Nasdaq 100's options structure remains bullish, with QQQ in positive gamma and gamma extending up toward 760. The 740-750 zone, traded repeatedly for months, is where positions are being digested, so a breakout may take time; as long as 740 holds, this is high-level consolidation. Volatility sellers dominate, keeping the VIX pinned near 15, and if spikes toward 16-20 keep getting sold, the backdrop for risk assets is unchanged; the VIX could reach 13 in October. x.com 

Hedge funds went too lopsided short before Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet's earnings, setting up an aggressive short-covering rally if they deliver this week, as expected. SPCX crushed and ANT's S-1 was quite good, leaving a potential two-week rally on a razor's edge. x.com 

Meta's earnings beat removes the immediate earnings risk from its bullish setup, with the 688 area holding on a closing basis. Q3 revenue was $64.6 billion, up 26%, and EPS of $3.83 beat estimates; Q4 revenue guidance is $73-76 billion. Wave 4 may have ended near 681; a close above the 9- and 21-day averages near 715 would confirm that count, with 755, 773 and 796 as targets. x.com 

The Nasdaq 100 already effectively prices in a severe semiconductor recession. QQQ trades at about 20 times 2027 EPS versus a 10-year average forward P/E near 25; halving 2027 estimates for Nvidia, Broadcom, AMD, Micron, Lam Research and Applied Materials would lift that only to 24.5. If the market instead traded at 20 times in that scenario, downside would be about 20%. Capex seems unlikely to be cut materially unless growth at AI labs such as Anthropic decelerates dramatically. x.com 

The Nasdaq-100 looks set for a roughly 7% drop over the next month and a half, driven by expected election turmoil. The 10-year Treasury yield is at 5.2% and the dollar index at 101, and the setup rhymes with October 2018.
