Nvidia is building the financial plumbing to keep the AI buildout afloat by pitching insurers on GPU residual value models, aiming to make GPUs an insurable, asset-backed class like aircraft. Debt is brutally expensive for neoclouds like CoreWeave and smaller AI firms because lenders cannot value a two-year-old GPU; insuring that risk would cut capital costs and keep demand humming without Nvidia taking credit risk.
