MAGS's seven major holdings are betting heavily on AI, guided by leaders with the best view of its future. There is no doubt the ETF will have its best year in 2027 or 2028, despite today's skepticism. x.com
Meta's advertising is less vulnerable to AI agents and LLMs because users must scroll Instagram themselves. AI may even give them more time to do so, while Meta retains other mega-caps' AI tailwinds; it remains the best AI stock. CapEx is still a problem. As @diyinvestor1 noted, Meta also has no exposure to OpenAI or Anthropic. x.com x.com x.com
AI security rules could shift frontier inference into monitored data centers, lifting demand for AMD and Nvidia chips and Micron and SanDisk memory. Agents attacked 400+ banks; US labs cut off abusive users, unlike downloaded open weights. Licensing is a forecast, and these four look undervalued at today's closes. Meta lists $356B in future leases and $455B in other commitments, mostly cloud capacity such as CoreWeave and Nebius plus equipment; those recipients are being sold off. x.com x.com
A rising value of compute per watt should benefit AI cloud, chip, connectivity and power suppliers. Elon Musk says that value will rise over time. Nebius has Microsoft and Meta deals; Marvell benefits from custom silicon demand; Credo connects GPUs; Vistra has long-term nuclear supply deals with Amazon and Meta; Nokia's Nvidia partnership could help it capture data-center networking growth. x.com x.com
Financing announcements point to more accelerator demand, supporting semiconductors. About $200bn in announced Meta, Anthropic/Broadcom and SpaceX/Nvidia financing likely drives $400bn in XPU purchases. Data centers burn cash until lit, then cash flow 20-40% annually; AI spend rising from 0.1% to 0.5-1% of current payroll could balance the buildout if agents replace roles. Sustainable token demand is the bet, but smaller local models are the bigger risk, though not an immediate concern. x.com … Show more
Meta's $35B financing plan points to continued chip demand rather than a capex cut. Meta is raising money to buy more chips because it is short of them, contrary to earlier claims that it lacked demand for its chips. x.com
Meta's 26% growth and still-unmonetized Muse make the dip buyable. ZeroHedge estimates $250 billion of AI capex next year; Meta would not spend that much unless Muse continues to unlock a massive opportunity in personal AI agents. x.com x.com
A likely increase in Meta's capital spending could send AI stocks, including Nebius, CoreWeave and Cipher Digital, sharply higher. Meta reports earnings after the bell. Cheddar Flow reports a $17 million purchase of CoreWeave calls; bulls appear positioned for a massive after-hours move. x.com x.com
Nebius's integrated AI cloud offers a substantial long-term opportunity beyond simply controlling powered land as training and inference demand expands. It builds data centers and GPU clusters and runs networking, storage and customer software; Microsoft and Meta have multi-year commitments. The correction after a 10x rise is unfolding, but deeper price targets have not been reached; the next 6-12 months could offer a more attractive entry than near the highs. x.com
Meta can monetize the same compute twice, which makes owned, powered compute its moat. Rothschild expects Meta's power use to grow from 2.5 GW to 15 GW by 2030, much of it excess because it thinks Meta will launch a cloud business. AI first pays for each gigawatt internally through a stickier feed and better ad targeting; leftover compute can then be sold as an AI cloud at cloud margins. In a power-constrained world anyone can rent GPUs, but almost nobody can energize new gigawatts on demand. … Show more
