Kodiak Gas Services' compression business is sticky by physics, and its new power business is not priced in. Moving a placed compression unit to a competitor costs about $250,000 and a convoy; fleet utilization is 98.2%, compression gross margin 70.6%, and EBITDA guidance rose to $830-860M. A Baker Hughes deal secures 1 GW of turbines through 2030 with an option for 1.8 GW more, backing management's target of 2 GW of power by 2030, up from 384 MW. x.com

Power demand will keep growing exponentially as AI models and data centers get larger, even after the AI hardware rotation slows, creating an AI power supercycle across four layers. Fuel: EQT, Kinder Morgan, Williams, Energy Transfer. Onsite power, the near-term bottleneck fix: Bloom Energy, GE Vernova, Caterpillar, Cummins, Kodiak Gas Services, T1 Energy. Grid: Eaton, Quanta, Vertiv, Hubbell, nVent, Emerson. Nuclear baseload: Oklo, NuScale, Nano Nuclear, Constellation, Vistra, BWX Technologies. … Show more

AI's electricity shortfall creates a massive opportunity for companies solving the power bottleneck. Morgan Stanley estimates a 32 GW US data-center power shortfall by 2028. Constellation Energy and Vistra are nuclear names, Bloom Energy in fuel cells, GE Vernova in power generation and Eaton in grid infrastructure. x.com

Long-lived parts and maintenance revenue is an underappreciated benefit for many behind-the-meter power firms, some of which have gotten very cheap on 2027-28 estimates. INNIO expects more than $50M a year per GW in services from its 19GW backlog and reserved slots, much of it arriving five and ten years after deployment, atop roughly $30M a year per GW from its 44GW installed base. That revenue could persist long after the data-center capex boom ends. x.com

Energy Transfer offers data center exposure because its pipelines run through key regions where data centers are being built, and natural-gas turbines and fuel cells are a big part of powering them. The case got stronger after Iran's strikes knocked out Middle East capacity. x.com

Behind-the-meter power generation stocks should be rallying, since data-center permitting delays and a backed-up grid push demand toward on-site power. INIO is a prime example: the stock has sold off even though it is a massive behind-the-meter beneficiary with accelerating demand, especially as data centers become more modular and smaller. x.com

Scarce power available for 2028 delivery and rising demand for that capacity favor Galaxy Digital, IREN and Cipher Mining. XCapitalMgmt highlights Galaxy management's report of delayed competing projects, stronger demand from hyperscalers and AI firms for 2028 capacity, and more selective financing. Galaxy has over 800 MW secured at Helios II but is still evaluating tenants and deal terms. x.com

Eroc is a direct play on behind-the-meter power, because connecting a data center to the grid can take years while on-site generation keeps racks from sitting idle. Its on-site gas power and microgrids have real orders behind the power-shortage thesis: Microsoft signed up and Anthropic ordered 470 MW. x.com

AI data centers need cooling, electricity and transmission, sustaining the case for Vertiv, GE Vernova and Quanta Services. Vertiv's sales rose 26% in the past year; its systems cool AI chips. GE Vernova is the go-to power trade for its gas turbines. Quanta builds the lines to data centers and has a record $53B backlog. x.com  x.com  x.com

Vistra, ProPetro, SOLV Energy and Fluence together cover the power needed for the data center buildout: generation, gas-to-power, grid and storage. Each is available at a decent to great entry point. x.com
