Semiconductors look attractive over a two-to-three-year horizon because the short-term pullback has already happened. Nvidia's impact should reverse the trend. x.com

The VanEck Semiconductor ETF could keep outperforming NVIDIA from here, given how large NVIDIA has become. x.com
Semiconductors could stay undersupplied for a long time as more capable AI per dollar creates more uses and drives compute demand. Micron and NVIDIA trade at low forward P/Es because investors fear peak cyclical earnings, yet current earnings show no slowdown. Shortages may worsen as AI adoption spreads, though the industry could remain cyclical; a reversal of the forced rollover trade is hoped for, not assured. x.com x.com x.com
SpaceX's beat has relit the AI trade and given semiconductors a fresh catalyst. Chips led Wednesday's close, with AMD, Nvidia, Micron, Marvell and Broadcom all up, but SMH is still below its 21-day average near 594. It needs to hold 536 and reclaim 562 before buyers regain control; 594 is the next test. x.com x.com
Rising Chinese competition and doubts about valuations add to Nvidia's downside risk as the AI sector bleeds. Nvidia's break from an uptrending triangular pattern rarely ends well; the AI bubble is cracking, and the trendline break marks the beginning of something much bigger. x.com
Super Micro should benefit as data centers buy the servers that house Nvidia's AI chips. Its quarterly sales outlook rose from $15B to $19B; the stock is 36% below its high and trades at 8x next year's earnings. It is a double from here. x.com x.com
Uncertain AI-capex profits and higher oil costs from Iran still threaten US stocks. The SPCX-Nvidia deal brought much-needed overnight inflows to chips and is shifting sentiment, but tech's waterfall decline will not heal with a sharp V-bottom. Be prepared for a big fade. x.com
Nvidia looks interesting again because rising earnings estimates have not been reflected in its valuation. FY28 EPS estimates rose about 25% in 60 days while shares stayed roughly flat; it trades below 14 times FY28 earnings with a mid-single-digit free-cash-flow yield. Exponential change is hard to grasp, and it is hard to see Nvidia not winning if the US does, though there is little capital to absorb market wobbles. x.com x.com
Nvidia's shares remain pressured because neoclouds have yet to show demand revenue can cover debt service even at higher rates. CoreWeave and Nebius are dragging the shares, though that concern is being priced in and digested. Reuters reports ByteDance, Alibaba and Tencent ordered $35B in Nvidia chips; Elon Musk says SpaceX is on track to bring roughly 200,000 GB300 GPUs online per month through end-2026. Nvidia made a higher low, and the next higher-high target is $256. x.com x.com x.com x.com
The VanEck Semiconductor ETF is likely to keep recovering because it holds larger semiconductor and semi-equipment names that are staging a comeback. Memory-concentrated funds still have a lot of work to do. x.com
Nvidia may now catch up. It had become a big funding short as traders sold it to go long memory and other names with more upside, and at current levels that selling is probably over. x.com
