NEAR is an AI-native blockchain and a pioneer of chain abstraction, and its run from $1.90 to $4.27 is not done yet. x.com
NEAR is breaking out as its price catches up with progress it had disconnected from, and the protocol appears to be becoming important crypto infrastructure. Discussion of what NEAR has built is increasing, and its technicals and fundamentals are aligning. Its last range breakout, in late 2023, yielded nearly 400% with weaker fundamentals and tokenomics. Macro is the risk: if Bitcoin stays rangebound NEAR can forge its own path, but Bitcoin below $60,000 would likely mean renewed correlation. … Show more
NEAR's $2.4 billion market cap already prices it as a major AI and apps layer, so the success of NEAR Intents does not justify the valuation. Intents is a strong bridging product and handled over $200 million of volume in about a day, per @andyyy, but it earns only about $1.5 million in annualized revenue, and valuing NEAR as a bridge is not very bullish. This may be a midcurve take. x.com
Actual use of NEAR Intents, including private swaps, is a bigger positive sign for NEAR than ETF inflows. BSC News reports $5.22 million into Bitwise's NEAR ETF in the latest week; that is still small money. x.com
NEAR's buyback flywheel is turning: NEAR Intents had its biggest revenue week ever last week, and $500,000 of NEAR was bought back. x.com
NEAR feels like an older, inflationary tech coin that has had its time in the sun, even if the case makes some sense on paper. A post the author replies to describes selling all NEAR and rotating into Zcash and Hyperliquid because conviction in it never grew. x.com
NEAR looks headed higher, with quantum-ready accounts adding to its technology case: co-founder Illia Polosukhin says users can update their account keys to be post-quantum today without moving assets. x.com x.com
NEAR's fundamentals are strengthening alongside its price. It generated solid fee revenue in 2025-2026, and Confidential Payments and Confidential Intents are improving privacy and security on the network. After its breakout from a 14-month falling wedge, a break of the $3 resistance would start the next leg up. x.com
NEAR is not private, not secure, centralized and not permissionless, as the $3.8 million exploit of NEAR Intents shows. Its popularity is driven by undisclosed paid marketing pushing people to buy a dinosaur coin and a trash chain. x.com x.com
Privacy and AI tokens are converging into core infrastructure, because autonomous agents handling wallets, payments and identity need private execution. Zcash is among the strongest pure privacy plays, NEAR targets AI and confidential coordination, Chainlink feeds agents trusted data, and Bittensor sits where AI compute meets crypto. Phala and Nillion, tied to confidential compute, could move violently either way. The whole sector is worth $59 billion against Nvidia's $5.1 trillion. x.com x.com … Show more
