WhiteFiber's already-energized, liquid-cooled capacity is scarce because grid hookups take years. Nscale contracted 40MW at NC-1 for 10 years, worth about $865M; last quarter's revenue grew 56% at roughly 60% gross margin, with shares at 9.4x EV/sales. Still loss-making and burning cash, it faces more dilution risk as it funds NC-2 and NC-3 on top of $310M in converts; the question is whether the two Nscale phases start billing fast enough to outrun another raise. x.comÂ
WhiteFiber is mispriced because the market treats data center buildout costs as structural weakness while contracted, customer-funded growth compounds; the 12-month target is $55, about 75% upside. A five-year, $160 million-plus Paris AI compute deal with an investment-grade customer starts in July, backed by 12 months of prepaid fees and project financing. First-quarter revenue rose 31%, convertible notes fund the buildout, and the 40MW NC-1 site should add high-margin revenue by Q3. x.comÂ
WhiteFiber's ability to fund its ramp without dilution was the key test for the stock, and a convertible announcement worth about a quarter of its market cap, flagged by @OG_PViews, cuts against it. Signed contracts help, including a ten-year, $865M NC-1 deal and a $160M Paris deployment, and retrofit builds cost up to 40% less than greenfield. But access to capital is the main hurdle, with a $100M term loan from majority owner Bit Digital, and AI managements tend to dilute given heavy capex. … Show more
WhiteFiber looks more valuable to Nscale as grid power becomes the bottleneck, because its NC-1 capacity for Nscale is already powered and billing while Nscale's UK site is delayed with no grid power until after 2027. A quoted post adds that WhiteFiber's Project Redwood hit 111.2 Tbps over 83 km of dark fiber at 0.9ms latency, letting two data centers run as one GPU supercluster, with commercial launch on track for Q3. x.comÂ
Bit Digital's Q2 was strong financing but weak operations, so its revenue should stand on its own before paying up. Headline growth came from WhiteFiber, partly from a departing customer, while mining and Ethereum staking have shrunk. Bit Digital borrowed $50 million against its ETH and committed up to $150 million to fund WhiteFiber's NC-1 build. Shifting ETH into liquid staked tokens lets it be written down but not back up. NC-1 billing at full load from Q3 is the test. x.comÂ
WhiteFiber's Q2 growth leaned on a termination fee from a departing customer; stripped out, the operating business shrank year over year and sequentially. The near-costless fee inflated growth, gross margin and adjusted EBITDA, while cash halved and interest expense appeared. Colocation, meant to be the growth engine, slipped versus Q1 as NC-1 contributed almost nothing. Backlog looks real and full billing on NC-1's 40 MW would be the inflection, but next quarter has to stand on its own. x.comÂ
Clearer North Carolina large-load rules could ultimately help WhiteFiber. Duke Energy's proposed settlement would require upfront infrastructure payments and transmission collateral from customers over 50MW signing after June 1, 2026. Its NC1 expansion from ~54MW to 99MW is likely unaffected, though another 200MW could cost more; ~30MW NC2/3 expansions may fall below the threshold. A regulator decision is due by mid-November, after the election, which may unclog stalled projects. x.comÂ
Bit Digital trades at a discount to its assets, about 73 cents per dollar of net asset value. Its WhiteFiber stake is worth about $515M and its 164,842 ether about $420M, versus a $570M market cap; net of convertible debt that is about $2.18 a share versus a $1.59 price. The discount is smaller than it looks: WhiteFiber, 55% of assets, is down 59% since June, and some ether is pledged as loan collateral not subtracted. The stock is up 35% from a double bottom at $1.18. x.comÂ
Higher financing and build costs squeeze short-term returns for neoclouds. Iran-linked fuel inflation raises Fed hike risk; even better projects may borrow in the low 7s, while weaker ones risk dilution or delays. CoreWeave, IREN, Nebius, New Era Energy & Digital and WhiteFiber need higher contract dollars per MW to offset costs. Funded projects with strong customers and liquidity fare better, but almost none can fund the next phase without easier markets. No need to panic. x.com x.comÂ
WhiteFiber is tied to AI infrastructure growth through strong demand for high-density data-center capacity. It has a major long-term colocation deal worth about $865 million, and rising institutional ownership shows more institutions building positions. The stock still has room to be discovered. x.comÂ
