Stellar and Tron sit directly in the path of stablecoin growth as stablecoins become a multi-trillion-dollar payments market. Per Kaiko data, USDT and USDC now hold about 94% of circulating stablecoin supply. Stellar now supports both USDT and USDC, while Tron remains the dominant home for USDT, so the networks carrying these stablecoins could benefit enormously. x.comÂ
Growing demand for tokenized finance could make XRP, Stellar, Hedera and Chainlink increasingly important as traditional finance moves onchain. PwC reports 822,000 tokenized-asset holders, 10 times the end-2024 level, and 259 million stablecoin holders, up 83%. Over 80% of surveyed investors expect better global reach and round-the-clock market access; 41% of institutional investors say better custody and trading infrastructure would encourage them to invest more. x.comÂ
US-based crypto projects are set for an H2 2026 breakout as US policy turns pro-crypto. Kevin Warsh, seen as relatively pro-crypto, becomes Fed Chair in May, and the CLARITY Act, with roughly 50% odds of passing, would clarify rules for digital commodities, exchanges and RWAs. The broader crypto bull market should help XRP do very well into 2027, even as its adoption case looks less compelling. More tokenization appears to be happening on Ethereum than XRPL, Ripple feels a bit behind on innovation, and fast cross-border settlement is less distinctive now. Ethereum is losing the tokenized real-world asset race to Stellar, Avalanche and Aptos, and since RWA liquidity is crypto's stickiest, today's issuance choices are likely 5-10 year commitments. Over 30 days Ethereum shed $1.63 billion of RWAs while Stellar added $810 million (+63%), Avalanche rose 45% and Aptos 38%. DTCC is connecting its tokenized securities platform to Stellar. Crypto still has room to rise because institutional adoption is accelerating and good altcoins remain underowned globally. Traditional finance is bringing assets onchain, and progress since five years ago makes it impossible to be bearish.
