Circle is a long-term buy because USDC is becoming the wallet of AI agents, which need autonomous, programmable micropayments that credit cards cannot handle. USDC already carries 99.8% of x402 agentic payments, and Circle launched Agent Stack. Per Mizuho, USDC's adjusted volume overtook Tether's this year. High-for-longer rates lift reserve income. At about 95x forward earnings and EPS seen falling 49% in 2026, the payoff is 2027-28, so a pullback is the better entry. x.com 

Coinbase is the big bet on who gets paid as agentic AI traffic floods onto crypto rails. Early Bitcoin and Ethereum speculation funded the payment infrastructure agents need, and agent counts are multiplying. Coinbase says its x402 protocol has passed 165M transactions, the SEC approved a five-year Innovation Exemption for trading tokenized US stocks onchain, tokenized equities grew 860% to about $3.5B, and DTCC's full tokenization service launches in October. x.com 

Kite could profit from helping AI agents spend money, with a possible buyback angle for the KITE token. Agents doing real work must pay for data, tools and compute, and Kite lets them spend stablecoins within a user-set budget without approving each payment. Mainnet is live with tools for Claude Code and Cursor, payments work across chains, and the token model is designed to use service fees to buy KITE, so more agent payments could mean more buying. Visa and Mastercard win agentic payments whichever AI wins agentic commerce, because the five competing agent payment protocols from Visa, Mastercard, Google, Stripe and Coinbase all settle on the same rails. OpenAI and Visa have just let AI agents check out with users' cards and permission.
