Renewed buying by Michael Saylor and Tom Lee should lift Bitcoin and Ethereum again soon, with some ETF inflows as well. Their buying around the same time previously led to new highs for both, and this time should be no different. x.com

Ether stays bullish for this year, but a distribution phase around $3,000-$3,200 could send it back below $2,000 for one last great entry. From that next local top, a 40-50% drop could retest the lows near $1,900 or even $1,700, moving fast and recovering faster. A hot October 14 CPI with oil near $100, and the midterms and Clarity Act timing, could trigger it, with liquidity exiting into December's FOMC. Expected rate cuts by March could then drive a V-shaped recovery above $3,000. x.com x.com
Bitcoin ETF demand has snapped back despite continued Ethereum ETF outflows. Bitcoin ETFs drew $301.2M last week after $1.77B left the two products over the prior two weeks; Ethereum ETFs lost $220.7M. Bitcoin rose one year after all four previous US midterms, with the next nine days away. Per @0xCryptoChan, prior recovery tops or subtops came 78-85 days after crossing the 3-6 month holder cost-basis line. Now at day 65, the next 2-3 weeks could get wild, though ETFs have changed cycle timing. … Show more
Ethereum is set to lead this cycle's rally because its ETFs are drawing more buying than Bitcoin's. Ethereum ETFs took in $1.5 billion against $985 million for Bitcoin ETFs. Last cycle Bitcoin had more ETF buying and led the rally. x.com
Ethereum faces slightly higher near-term selling risk as net inflows raise Binance's sellable ETH supply. Some 55,471 ETH entered and 47,596 left, net 7,875, though both flows have slowed. If inflows persist this week with ETF outflows and high US Treasury yields, pressure could grow around the Fed decision. Rising cumulative ETH 2.0 transactions bode well for network use, not direct demand or relief today. Losing $2,280-2,300 adds downside risk; recovery needs flow and price confirmation. x.com
Ethereum's upside looks worth the bet because the payoff to its prior high is much larger than the downside, and buyers still respond to good news. There is roughly 16% down to $1,950 versus a little over 2x back to the prior all-time high. LIT caught a sharp bid around its US regulatory plans, and CHIP rallied 40% around a $1 million buyback; that response looks like a bull-market sign. x.com
Bitcoin's near-term macro backdrop is not yet favorable because the Fed balance sheet is stuck at $6.75 trillion, so patience is warranted. The Fed will eventually have to step in for debt markets. ETF inflows leave time for October to turn positive, while Bitwise raised its 2036 target to $1.6 million and says institutions may allocate 1% to 5% as adoption and debasement-hedge demand rise. A U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve may start buying very soon once crypto rules are settled. x.com x.com … Show more
Ethereum's strong ecosystem is not translating into enough ETH value capture to support significant appreciation unless that changes. The Ethereum Foundation selling ETH again is frustrating; buybacks and stronger incentives for L2s to accumulate and buy back ETH could improve the token's economics. Fundstrat, which owns roughly 5% of the supply, has a huge opportunity to push for better value capture. x.com x.com
Ether's near-term recovery is lagging Bitcoin as spot Ether ETFs lost $149 million over Monday and Tuesday while Bitcoin funds gained $286 million. Ether remains below its weekend high and 365-day average; the multi-model signal is still Long on both, with three of four models agreeing on Ether versus four of four on Bitcoin. x.com
Bitcoin and ether remain attractive for gradual long-term accumulation despite high volatility, with institutional demand still present. Crypto is heavily influenced by large players' buying and selling, and a final wave of panic before the next major rally would not be surprising, especially if that weakness is quickly bought. x.com
The Fed's continuing inflation focus and prospect of expensive money for longer are eroding Bitcoin's initial relief from the rate hold. At the 3.75%-4.00% hold, two officials voted to hike; Warsh left further tightening open but did not commit to a December hike. BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF drew $136M yesterday, its third straight inflow session, showing buyers are still present. x.com x.com x.com
Bitcoin and ether will go much higher at some point on simple supply and demand, driven by a steady bid from treasury companies and recent ETF inflows. Last week Strategy bought 34,164 BTC for $2.54B and Bitmine added 101,627 ETH for $235M, both funded by equity, so there is no liquidation price. Adjusted for market cap, Bitmine's week equals Saylor spending $1.35B on bitcoin. Strategy now holds 4.07% of all bitcoin and Bitmine 4.12% of all ether. x.com
