Arm is hard to justify over Nvidia, which is cheaper and growing faster. Arm trades at 44x sales and 112x earnings with 28% two-year sales growth and 32% EPS growth, while Nvidia trades at 11x sales and 20x earnings with 60%+ growth in both. There is more to an investment case than these figures. x.com
Nvidia's valuation gives too little credit to its expected long-term earnings growth. Its forward P/E-to-growth ratio is 0.28, the lowest since late 2023; the bullish read depends on those growth expectations proving accurate. x.com x.com
Arm's valuation carries an absurd premium for the architecture layer. It trades at 91.9x EV/sales, far above its historical range, as Wall Street prices it as the mandatory royalty tollbooth for every custom AI chip. EDA leaders Cadence, at 30.1x, and Synopsys, at 21.2x, trade near the low end of their historical bands, priced like mature utilities, as the market stacks almost all the scarcity premium into Arm. x.com
Arm's rally is justified after Nvidia said on its call that the Vera CPU will be a $20B business in fiscal 2027, because Arm gets a cut of that. On Arm's $5B revenue base, that cut is meaningful. x.com
Nvidia looks interesting again because rising earnings estimates have not been reflected in its valuation. FY28 EPS estimates rose about 25% in 60 days while shares stayed roughly flat; it trades below 14 times FY28 earnings with a mid-single-digit free-cash-flow yield. Exponential change is hard to grasp, and it is hard to see Nvidia not winning if the US does, though there is little capital to absorb market wobbles. x.com x.com
Nvidia's rising revenue alongside a much lower P/E is getting hard to ignore. Its chart shows quarterly revenue above $80 billion in Q2 2026 while the P/E is around 30x, down from much higher multiples in prior years. x.com
Intel's huge Q1 beat and strong guidance show semiconductors have more room to run. Intel, AMD and Arm are a fraction of Nvidia's $4.9tn market cap and still have room to double, with targets of $130 for Intel, $600 for AMD and $400 for Arm. x.com
Arm Holdings looks unattractive because its nearly 300 P/E ratio is difficult to justify against only 22% year-over-year revenue growth. x.com
AI skepticism leaves Nvidia, Broadcom and Micron looking cheap on forward earnings. Their forward P/E ratios are 14, 18 and 5, respectively; the market may eventually stop doubting AI. x.com
Arm's AGI CPU shows strong product-market fit for agentic workloads. Results were neutral on most numbers, but Arm said customer demand now exceeds $2B across fiscal 2027 and 2028, more than double what it stated at launch, and the stock rose 10%. x.com
Rapid revenue growth against forward valuations makes Nvidia and Micron additional calculated risks after the selloff, alongside Meta, Broadcom, IREN, Vistra, Nokia and Oracle. Nvidia grew revenue 106% and guides Q3 to $108B, plus or minus 2%, at 17.5x forward earnings; Micron grew revenue 379% to $54.2B, guides $61.5B next quarter and trades at 5x.
