NuScale still holds the only US regulator-approved small modular reactor design, positioning it to power data centers with clean, always-on electricity, even after the stock collapsed from $57 to under $9. The drop came from a fresh UBS sell rating and slow project execution, but the regulatory approval didn't disappear with the price. GE Vernova has a $176bn backlog with gas turbines effectively sold out for years.
