Agentic AI demand should drive AMD's 2027 data-center growth well over 100% year on year. Server CPU revenue is forecast to double, with over 5 million Venice units shipping in 2027; Helios racks should ramp mostly in Q1 2027, with over 20,000 expected that year, while MI450/455X volume remains limited by end-2026. Projected 2027 sales are $103bn, with 2027 EPS revised up 15% and a new $720 target at 40x 2027 earnings. x.com 

AMD is having a breakout year as hyperscalers spend more than $600 billion on infrastructure in 2026, about $450 billion of it on AI. Its CPU market share has climbed to 29.2%, and partnerships with OpenAI and Meta show it is no longer playing second fiddle to Nvidia. Its MI300 series is winning data-center workloads, and it is executing on its roadmap with a consistency that deserves respect. x.com 

AMD's Helion rack design could benefit from agentic-AI demand beyond GPUs as more advanced agents require more CPU compute. Built for agentic AI, it can support up to 32,768 EPYC CPU cores in a rack, with configurations that also integrate Instinct GPUs. Helion configurations are planned for November, making this a very bullish development for AMD's long-term data center opportunity. x.com 

AMD keeps getting picked by emerging architectures, from wafer-scale and quantum to sovereign AI, a strong partnership pattern this year. Cerebras pairs its inference engine with AMD Helios racks, Xanadu runs its photonic quantum software on AMD hardware with AMD FPGAs handling error correction, and Saudi sovereign AI effort HUMAIN went live with AMD providing the full GPU, CPU and ROCm stack. x.com 

AMD risks missing large advance rack orders because Helios is still unproven at volume manufacturing. It looked credible on paper at July's Advancing AI, but this is AMD's first rack-scale system; meaningful volume is expected only in 2H27, two quarters past AMD's window. Hyperscalers order racks a year or two before seeing them, and custom inference chips are squeezing AMD from the other side. AI data-center spending should reach chips first, then racks, power and cooling, benefiting Nvidia, AMD, Vertiv, Bloom Energy, Credo, Marvell, Lumentum and Micron. BofA forecasts the global data-center market at about $1T in 2026, $2.1T in 2028 and nearly $3T by 2030, a 37% annual rise; roughly 80% of a new AI site's $57M per MW cost goes to servers, networking and storage. x.com 

Rapid growth in token use and data-center spending supports AI infrastructure beneficiaries beyond networking. BofA quotes AMD CEO Lisa Su on a 95-fold rise in monthly token consumption over two years. Nvidia, Marvell, Credo, Micron, AMD and Broadcom are the picks from BofA's beneficiary list. Many neoclouds favor AMD, making it potentially the semiconductor to play. Helios still needs to mature into a complete rack-scale platform for AMD to become a true second AI platform, rather than just the No. 2 GPU vendor. x.com 

AMD and Nvidia both stand to gain from an AI chip market that AMD sizes at $1.4 trillion by 2030, growing 45% a year. Token use rose 158x in two years, and running models now takes 60% of compute, driven by agents, a shift AMD expects to be structural. AMD's Helios racks are in full production, Anthropic is locking in up to 2 GW and OpenAI up to 6 GW, and AMD says it is closing its software gap.
