Tesla is the single stock to hold for the next 10 years because autonomy, software and robotics could make it far larger than a car company. Tesla's standalone upside is less clear at today's prices because a potential SpaceX exchange hinges on the premium Tesla holders receive and their share of the combined value. If SpaceX keeps executing at this pace, its upside, or that of the combination, looks clearer than Tesla's standalone upside. Tesla's Cybercab can scale far faster than Waymo, which underpins its long-term potential. The Cybercab is efficient and cheap to build, and Tesla can scale it into the millions quickly with US-sourced parts, while Waymo is inefficient, expensive and very hard to scale.
