As a public benefit corporation, it is not permitted some forms of monetization. Rocket Lab's ATM offering is bullish long term, because dilution that funds growth and acquisitions, rather than survival, builds value. The volatility after the announcement was absorbed within a day or two, and such dips offer some of the easiest buying opportunities. Clearing the $46-48 range could be explosive. x.com 

Rocket Lab's program delays carry a financing cost, not just a later date, because development spending continues while expected customer cash moves out. In a September sensitivity, a $1.25B equity raise at $70 would issue about 17.9M shares, while at $50 it would take 25M, about 7.1M more; this is not a price forecast or a predicted raise. Applied Optoelectronics' long-term story is still bullish, but its new $600M at-the-market offering is a very bad look for management. Filed after hours on a Friday right after bullish Rosenblatt summit comments, it is a second ATM within a couple of months, and its dilution is still to be worked out. Short interest should rise, since photonics is a widely shorted theme and AAOI the easiest optical name to short.
