Either memory ETF is a reasonable way to own memory, with a preference for Tema's DISK and its slightly higher NAND weighting through Kioxia and Sandisk. DISK, built with SemiAnalysis, is far more diversified, while DRAM holds over 75% in Micron, SK Hynix and Samsung. DISK is too light on Micron, and DRAM too light on Sandisk. For buying the memory dip, the DISK ETF looks better than the more popular DRAM ETF because its holdings are less concentrated. The Roundhill Memory ETF looks vulnerable because its late launch fits the pattern of Wall Street selling hot themes to the public shortly before they top. DRAM was a monster trade of 2026 in April and May, led by Sandisk and Micron. Sandisk's fast-growing data-center revenue strengthens its case among memory names with upside. Data-center revenue rose 61% quarter over quarter; revenue of $11.03B, adjusted EPS of $49.51 and adjusted gross margin of 85.1% all exceeded estimates. For upside among Micron, Sandisk and Kioxia, Micron ranks first, then Sandisk, then Kioxia, until further guidance. x.com x.comÂ
The newly launched DISK ETF offers direct exposure to the AI memory and HBM supercycle. Its top five holdings are Kioxia and SanDisk at 17% each, Samsung at 8%, SK Hynix at 7% and SK Square at 5%. x.comÂ
The memory ETF is not worth buying yet, because it is essentially just the KOSPI plus Micron and more forced selling is likely in Korea. x.comÂ
The Tema Memory ETF offers a way to play the memory boom without picking the winning stock. Memory chip revenue is forecast to rise from $200B in 2025 to over $700B in 2027, but HBM, DRAM and NAND don't always move together, so being right on the theme can still mean picking the wrong ticker. The fund holds 18 names led by SanDisk, Kioxia and SK hynix, including Korean and Japanese stocks hard to buy from US accounts. It is concentrated, new and charges 0.75%, so size it as a theme bet. x.comÂ
