Memory demand could withstand DeepSeek's efficiency gains because its large model and longer contexts still use substantial memory, while cheaper tokens can lift usage. DeepSeek claims four times less memory per token, but its model has 552B parameters and a 1M-token context; experts blamed its five-hour outage on insufficient compute capacity, evidence that demand remains ahead of supply. The attached report says third-quarter operating profit rose more than sevenfold and its operating margin reached 80%; analysts quoted there expect the earnings climb to continue at least through next year. Micron and SanDisk are a skip: DDR4 prices rising 50% quarter on quarter is already consensus, and both stocks have run on it. The surprise sits in legacy DRAM makers Nanya and Winbond, which are hard to access.
