PagSeguro, which operates PagBank, is priced like a declining business even though it is a profitable fintech with 34M customers, double-digit growth and a P/E of about 7x. x.com

PagSeguro, dLocal and StoneCo could re-rate violently because the market prices them as fragile regional risk proxies while their businesses keep proving to be long-duration infrastructure assets. That re-rating depends on the companies continuing to prove that case. x.com
MercadoLibre's commerce and fintech revenue growth underpins the view that its shares are undervalued at current prices. The attached chart shows quarterly commerce services revenue reaching $4.3 billion and fintech revenue $4.4 billion in June 2026, up from $769 million and $467 million in March 2021. x.com
PayPal's near-flat growth and rising checkout competition leave it a Grade C, prove-it story. Q3 FY26 revenue rose just 2%; operating income fell 8% as restructuring charges rose from $69 million to $255 million, and net income fell 14%. The business still earns over $1 billion a quarter, but it is treading water. x.com
MercadoLibre's collapsing margins and earnings make its 45-times-earnings valuation look like a value trap. It faces intense competition, and less of its revenue reaches the bottom line; falling earnings make the stock more expensive even as its price falls. Nu Holdings trades at 17 times earnings and Inter & Co at 7 times, with both growing revenue and earnings robustly. Selling MercadoLibre to build positions in companies with better fundamentals is under consideration. x.com x.com x.com x.com
Brazilian domestic-market companies such as Nu, XP, Itaú, Bradesco, PagSeguro, CSN and Inter stand to benefit from a falling exchange rate, so positioning belongs in the domestic market. The exporters Petrobras and Vale are the ones falling today, which fits that call. The view was laid out in an iProfesional article on which CEDEARs could take off depending on whether Lula or Flávio Bolsonaro wins Brazil's elections. x.com
PicPay trades at only 3-4x CY27 earnings despite being Brazil's second most popular digital fintech bank. Insiders bought heavily near the recent bottom. x.com
MercadoLibre is Amazon, PayPal, FedEx and a bank in one, building Latin America's digital infrastructure in early innings with a full-stack data moat no rival has matched across 18 countries. Mercado Pago processes $87B a quarter, two-thirds outside the marketplace, and banking licenses cut out middlemen; logistics delivers 80% of goods within 48 hours and credit defaults run near half the industry rate. Q1 revenue grew 49% to $8.85B. Margin pressure from heavy investment is the trade-off. x.com
PayPal is still growing, but the quality of its growth keeps worsening, which justifies a compressed multiple. Revenue rose 7% and TPV 11%, yet transaction margin dollars grew only 3%, operating income fell and GAAP EPS dropped 6% as operating margin shrank about 200 basis points. That points to Stripe, Adyen, Apple and Google eroding pricing power. Engagement is flattening, and guidance for falling near-term EPS signals a trend. At 10x earnings it is a fair business, not a great one. x.com … Show more
Nubank is a good entry again because enough uncertainty is priced in to justify the remaining downside risk. Underwriting and risk-adjusted returns have never been better and keep surprising to the upside, and the loan book is very short-dated. Payroll and secured loans are its next growth wave in Brazil, where it adds 12 million users a year while ARPAC rises. With 40–50%+ ROE and close to 50% revenue growth, it is not out of growth. x.com x.com x.com x.com
PayPay is not worth chasing at its $11.8B IPO valuation: by US standards it is normally valued, not a screaming buy. The Japanese payments, investing and banking super app earned about $248M on FY2025 revenue of about $1.9B, up 26%, with near-zero stock compensation, at roughly 44x earnings and 5.8x sales. IPO hype and a low float may lift it, but majority owner SoftBank's lockup expires in September 2026, an ATM-like overhang. Better mispriced choices exist, such as Reddit. x.com x.com
