Fintech's slide looks like a broad rotation out of the sector rather than isolated company weakness, as investors buy the largest beneficiaries of the AI infrastructure buildout. SoFi is down 43% year to date, with similar weakness at Klarna, Shift4 and Toast, as capital leaves fintech, software and emerging markets for semiconductors, networking, memory and AI infrastructure names such as Nvidia, Broadcom, Micron and Nebius. SoFi's expanding financial ecosystem now has eight businesses above $100 million in annualized revenue, a shift from its student-loan origins that makes its next decade incredibly bullish. SoFi's egregious dilution means business growth may fail to benefit existing shareholders. Its share count rose 61% over five years, reducing an original 1% stake to about 0.6%; even 61% earnings growth could leave earnings per share flat. SoFi's newly reported growth widens the gap between its operating results and a selloff driven by interest-rate fears. Revenue grew 45%, EPS 67% and members 35%, while the stock had fallen nearly 50%; the business is seen as able to succeed across rate environments. x.com 

SoFi is overvalued because it is just a bank, as it has been since inception. Member growth of 518% over five years while the stock fell 21%, cited by @StockSavvyShay, does not make it an opportunity, since the stock was extremely overvalued five years ago and subscriber growth does not justify the valuation. Personal-loan economics and demand holding up despite interest rates should support Happen Bank's shares tomorrow. SoFi's good earnings provide the read-through. After rising two-year rates beat down Happen Bank's shares, a healthy personal-loan marketplace would offer asymmetric upside at 8x earnings with decent growth. x.com  x.com 

SoFi's accelerating products per member bodes well for its long-term growth. The attached series rises from about 1.45 in March 2024 to 1.56 in September 2026, with a sharper climb in 2026. x.com 

SoFi will not get a tech multiple, so it will likely underperform about 90% of tech companies over the next five years despite being a great company. Its tech platform never grew into a larger, higher-margin share of revenue, leaving it a fast-growing bank, and its guidance includes no rate cuts.
