Lightwave Logic's $1.8B valuation makes no sense for a company without revenue, making it the Rigetti of photonics. Foxconn's optical arm Shunsin, which handles live packaging, assembly and testing for NVIDIA's co-packaged optics, is valued at only $1.4B, and Sivers, a laser source for Jabil and Marvell, was valued at a third of Lightwave earlier this week. It licenses its electro-optic polymer platform like Arm, with high margins and low capex; cash lasts to end-2027, matching its target to move Stage 3 customers into production. Polymer devices passed 2,000 hours of damp-heat testing, the telecom-grade bar. If 2-3 customers ramp, royalties could reach $30-50M, worth up to about $1.25B at 25x. GlobalFoundries' Xanadu partnership strengthens its position as a shared quantum-manufacturing platform across architectures. Its Malta fab will develop ultra-low-loss SiN photonics and superconducting nanowire detectors, alongside up to $375M in US quantum R&D funding. It ranked first of 23 companies in the earlier quantum map; production volumes and revenue remain undisclosed, with process transfer and yield validation still ahead. x.com
