Skipping AMD's dip would be a mistake given broad analyst buy support on Stock Analysis. Its snapshot shows 39 Strong Buy and five Buy ratings among 55 analysts while shares are down 6%. x.comÂ
Qualcomm's setup started improving in February, when nobody wanted the stock, and shaped up sharply into earnings, with smart money buying. x.comÂ
The bounce in semiconductors, including AMD, Micron and Intel, looks like a retail trap and exit liquidity rather than a durable move. The AI and semiconductor bull cycle is still in play, but a redistribution back down to weekly fair value looks next, after which big money should buy again. This is not a call to short. x.com x.comÂ
Intel shows clear, continued institutional buying that points to further gains. After earnings it gapped to highs not seen in nearly 30 years on its largest daily dollar buy volume ever, then set new records for buy volume last week and again this week. Following that smart money, another 15% move would be no surprise. x.comÂ
Qualcomm has little downside with Amazon having come in as an investor at around $160 a share. Investors give it almost no credit for AI, wearables, robotics and auto, and those businesses can do the heavy lifting to keep the stock steady next year. x.comÂ
Intel's turnaround is real, but its valuation already assumes a lot goes right while Foundry has much to prove. Revenue grew 25% to $16.1 billion, data center revenue jumped 59%, and the CEO says Intel can meet only about half of CPU demand, with ASPs up 48%. But Foundry lost $2.1 billion on $5.8 billion of revenue, only $293 million of it external, with no high-volume marquee customer. Semiconductor leaders look better placed than high-beta stocks with poor company models. TSMC, ASML, Nvidia and memory should lead the sector and belong in the buy basket, with Broadcom not far behind. The CPU basket is only a hold: much of its upside was priced in during Intel and AMD's run. x.comÂ
Qualcomm looks undervalued among tech stocks given its opportunities in physical AI, CPUs and an emerging data-center market. x.comÂ
Micron, Intel, AMD, Tesla and SanDisk look overextended and due for a pullback because their share prices have outpaced earnings over five years, and stocks follow EPS over time, as Peter Lynch said. Price versus EPS growth: Micron +1,071% vs +758%, Intel +97% vs -112%, AMD +453% vs -5%, Tesla +78% vs +7%, and SanDisk +4,746% vs +717%. x.com x.com x.com x.com x.comÂ
Amazon, Meta, Broadcom, AMD, ServiceNow, Microsoft and ASML are strong enough to serve as decade-long cornerstone holdings. Amazon has AWS, ads, marketplace, Prime and logistics reinforcing each other. Meta reaches about 3.6B daily users with an AI-improved ad engine. Broadcom pairs chip infrastructure with embedded software, both cash-rich. AMD wins with EPYC, Instinct and ROCm. ServiceNow and Microsoft are deeply embedded in daily business, and ASML alone makes EUV systems at scale. x.com … Show more
