Micron's valuation looks ridiculous given the street's eight-year EPS estimates, even with a projected 2028 earnings peak and subsequent decline. At under $900, it trades at 5.09 times this year's expected EPS of $176.55. If consensus plays out, 2027-34 EPS would total $921.56, more than the share price; if analysts are wrong about when EPS peaks, Micron would look even cheaper. x.com
Rapid revenue growth against forward valuations makes Nvidia and Micron additional calculated risks after the selloff, alongside Meta, Broadcom, IREN, Vistra, Nokia and Oracle. Nvidia grew revenue 106% and guides Q3 to $108B, plus or minus 2%, at 17.5x forward earnings; Micron grew revenue 379% to $54.2B, guides $61.5B next quarter and trades at 5x. The other six retain their growth, contracted-demand or customer-order cases. x.com
GameStop looks cheap against its earnings. It trades at about 14 times earnings versus the roughly 18 times retailers usually get. Applying 18 times to next year's estimated $1.37 a share, give or take 12%, gives a fair value of $21.70-27.62, leaving the stock 13% below the bottom of that range. This is a valuation read only, with no fundamental work behind it. x.com
Micron is more attractive than Tesla because its earnings and growth-adjusted valuations are dramatically cheaper. At $897, Micron trades at 5 times analysts' next-year earnings versus Tesla at 186 times near $360; PEG ratios are 0.07 and nearly 10. Micron just printed about $74 in trailing EPS after a surge that caught most of the Street flat-footed, while Tesla's roughly $1.08 has been shrinking. At these prices, the preference is Micron. x.com
Semiconductor and memory stocks still look cheap despite the panic on forward earnings and growth-adjusted valuations. SK hynix trades at 4.4x forward earnings with a 0.04 PEG, Micron at 4.6x and 0.11, Sandisk at 5.5x and 0.10, and Nvidia at 14.2x and 0.22; the table extends across chipmakers and suppliers. Some of these figures may reflect peak earnings. x.com x.com
GameStop's Ryan Cohen is making one of the most aggressive streaks of insider purchases relative to market cap over such a short period. He bought another 700,000 shares at an average $24.41, about $17.1M, per an SEC Form 4 reported by @ReesePolitics, a show of conviction that ignores rising yields. x.com
Micron's sold-out high-bandwidth memory through 2027+ and contracts already being signed for 2029-2030+ extend its earnings runway. At 5x forward earnings, it is cheaper than a year ago; its private Anthropic stake is about to be instantly rerated at Anthropic's IPO, and a new share buyback is expected to be announced Dec. 9. Micron could certainly gain 30% in three months. x.com x.com
Micron looks expensive on price-to-book at about 8x versus a historical average of about 2x, and relying on forward P/E for such a cyclical business can be dangerous. x.com
GameStop's case rests on CEO Ryan Cohen's continued insider buying, nearly $70 million this year, supporting a $30 target. The stock is up almost 20% year to date, on par with the Nasdaq 100. x.com
Micron's revenue grew faster than its stock over the past year, leaving it cheaper on trailing earnings. Quarterly revenue rose from $11.3B to $54.2B, while the stock rose from about $198 to $878 and trailing P/E fell from roughly 24x to 11.6x. x.com
