Space is set to be the biggest S-curve of our lives, a multi-generational frontier whose limits and discoveries remain largely unknown. Launch cadence is accelerating, per @Sam_Badawi: SpaceX is targeting Starship's 14th flight to attempt its first stable orbit and deploy Starlink satellites, and Rocket Lab just completed its 97th Electron launch, its 18th of 2026. x.com 

Rocket Lab's growing Space Systems business positions it to provide more than launches for the space economy. It generated $189.5M in Q2, 81% of revenue; if its pending Iridium acquisition closes, it would gain a global satellite communications network. At about $51, this is one of the most compelling long-term opportunities in the space sector over 3-5 years, provided it keeps executing. Rocket Lab's delayed Neutron first flight pushes out a key part of its planned launch capacity. Flight one has moved to 2027, at least 1.5 years later than the previously indicated timing; the lack of clearer guidance is frustrating. SpaceX, Rocket Lab and, to a lesser degree, Firefly Aerospace stand to benefit from the new US National Space Transportation Policy. Per the announcement, US orbital launches rose from 19 in 2013 to 178 in 2025, and the policy aims to enable 1,000 launches and reentries on American soil by 2030 while modernizing launch infrastructure dating to the 1960s. x.com 

Rocket Lab is underestimated as a launch company when it is building a broader space infrastructure business, where satellites, components, spacecraft systems and national-security demand could matter as much as launches. It just signed its largest commercial Electron deal by mission count, 20 launches for Synspective from 2028 to 2031, per Wall St Engine, pushing its launch backlog above 100 missions. x.com 

Rocket Lab's only 'moat' was Neutron, and its reported launch delay now amounts to cancellation for the investment case. The quoted report puts its inaugural launch in 2027; $2.99 is floated as a possible share price. x.com 

A commercial-launch bottleneck is good news for Rocket Lab. Christine Ji reports that a SpaceX launch shortage is fueling a $100 billion wave of investment in space infrastructure and applications. x.com 

Rocket Lab's rising Electron output and cost competitiveness could unlock a big European opportunity. COO Frank Klein says next year's production will exceed twice 2024's 15 rockets and argues buyers would not pay two or three times as much merely for a German-built rocket. He says Rocket Lab is discussing launch capacity with Germany and ESA, while Germany plans $41.1 billion in defense-space spending over five years. 2027 looks like a huge year for Rocket Lab. x.com 

Rocket Lab's government awards and backlog look priced in, while the costs of Neutron do not. Its space-beta monopoly has ended with SpaceX's listing, and it needs to max out R&D to accelerate Neutron before its maiden flight. Voyager Technologies looks particularly interesting as a picks-and-shovels supplier to the space economy. At a $1.5B market cap, it builds propulsion, missile defense, spacecraft electronics, space intelligence and agentic AI, stations, lunar infrastructure and orbital computing; it partners with Palantir and Anduril. Rocket Lab, AST SpaceMobile and Voyager could be like Apple, Microsoft and Intel in the 1980s: their value in two decades matters more than in two years. x.com
