Rocket Lab's growing Space Systems business positions it to provide more than launches for the space economy. It generated $189.5M in Q2, 81% of revenue; if its pending Iridium acquisition closes, it would gain a global satellite communications network. At about $51, this is one of the most compelling long-term opportunities in the space sector over 3-5 years, provided it keeps executing. Rocket Lab is set up for a breakout as its technicals and fundamentals align. A W-bottom is forming, with price bouncing off $64.6 support. Q2 revenue hit a record $234 million, up 62% year over year, and backlog rose 137% to an all-time high of $2.36 billion. It won a $397 million Space Force SB-AMTI contract to build and launch Flatellites on Neutron and joined the $981 million NITE-STAR contract ceiling, showing it is a vertically integrated space company, not just a launch provider. x.com 

Rocket Lab's existing Space Systems business makes Neutron upside optionality rather than the whole investment case. Space Systems supplied $189.5M, about 81% of Q2's record $234M revenue, alongside Electron launches, defense work, satellite manufacturing and components. Its space-beta monopoly has ended with SpaceX's listing, and it needs to max out R&D to accelerate Neutron before its maiden flight. Rocket Lab is the space stock still priced like a growth stock, and it is building its larger Neutron rocket to compete directly with SpaceX. It has over 70 successful launches and active contracts with the US Space Force and NASA, and Trump signed an executive order in December designating space a core national security priority. Repeated Neutron delays undermine the premium on Rocket Lab stock when execution keeps slipping. The company does not live or die by Neutron, but 50x sales was unjustified; even at 26x 2027 sales, a legitimate price suggests another 50% decline. x.com  x.com 

Rocket Lab is underestimated as a launch company when it is building a broader space infrastructure business, where satellites, components, spacecraft systems and national-security demand could matter as much as launches.
