Mobileye has been dead money, down 35% over the past year, and an autonomous-driving future is not a reason to own it. x.com  x.com 

Mobileye faces formidable autonomous-driving competition from Tesla and Waymo, which is a fundamental turn-off despite the hype and good market timing. Technically it formed a bottom and broke its downtrend, but a horizontal level risks flipping from support to resistance. It gets interesting again only if it reclaims $11 and, more importantly, proves sustainable demand. x.com 

Mobileye has massive reversal potential after a first quarter that was materially better than feared. Revenue rose 27.4% to $558 million, EyeQ revenue 28.9% to $535 million and systems shipped 27.1% to 10.8 million, on significant post-earnings volume. Guidance was modestly raised, it authorized up to $250 million of buybacks it clearly has the cash for, robotaxi optionality remains alive, and the consensus median price target is $13. x.com 

Tesla's 200x earnings multiple asks too much of weak current results and speculative future products. Third-quarter revenue fell 0.4% year over year and EBIT missed estimates by 25%, despite gross-margin and cash-flow beats. Robotaxis, humanoids and other future plans may have appeal, but impressive parts of the business do not make the stock worth its current price. x.com  x.com  x.com 

Tesla's robotaxis sound cool but there is no money in them, which explains the stock's decline. Jim Chanos (@RealJimChanos) called Tesla's disclosure of only 380,000 unsupervised Robotaxi miles over the past year a stunning admission. x.com 

Mobileye's heavily shorted stock could squeeze if it gets tagged as a humanoid play alongside Unitree's IPO. It paid $900M for MenteeBot, a humanoid with a production model due Q1 2027. Valuing the ADAS core at 12x plus $1.4B cash leaves roughly nothing for the robot in a $7.6B market cap; the market doesn't care after a Q3 guide-down, a $3.8B writedown and the founder-CEO's exit. If Unitree opens near $25B and humanoids rip this week, short covering could drive a 20-30% chase. x.com 

Uber cannot be owned until its robotaxi strategy and economics are clearer, including whether it stays asset-light or pivots to asset-heavy. Calling it 10 times 2027 free cash flow may be unfair if an asset-heavy pivot sends that cash into capex. Google puts global ridesharing at $150-180 billion in gross bookings a year, reaching $200 billion by decade's end, likely not big enough for Waymo, Tesla and Uber to all win while each spends tens of billions on fleets. x.com  x.com  x.com 

Uber is cheap because it is priced as a self-driving loser, yet self-driving tech should become commoditized, making off-peak demand management the key differentiator; if private cars become autonomous and shared, Uber would likely manage that. Its own autonomous plans look viable, a Delivery Hero takeover would be very good, and Appaloosa, which did well buying Lyft, is very long. Longer term, managing fleets of shared robots for cleaning, cooking or home care could be big. x.com 

Mobileye's AI talent, incredible mathematicians and professors in AI, makes it worth scooping up as a long-term holding at this price, the same thesis that worked for Palantir after it fell from $32 to $8. Steve Cohen bought 5% of the company, so it will have its day in the sun. @Stonefoxcapital notes Mobileye trades at $7 today. x.com 

Uber's network effects could make it the app robotaxi fleets need to keep their cars fully operational. It is one of the best platforms on earth and a five-year buy at today's valuation, with opportunity too compelling to pass up despite shares falling about 25% in the past year on robotaxi fears. Bookings grew 24% last quarter and trailing free cash flow exceeded $10 billion. Waymo and Tesla could choose to bypass Uber; Waymo already runs its own app in most of its cities. x.com
