Never bet against Microsoft: in its history it has never been a poor capital allocator, and despite small mistakes it is an amazing corporate investor. The same holds for Google, despite criticism quoted by @firstadopter that supplying OpenAI and Anthropic with compute mortgages its future. x.com 

Microsoft's position is the most crowded among the Magnificent Seven, and fund flows are against it as funds sell those stocks to reserve cash for Anthropic's IPO. It faded despite an excellent earnings report. x.com 

Microsoft at $382 is a great deal to tuck away for 10+ years, even if it is not the low. Stocks popular on X and heavily held by retail would be oversold even more in a 2022-style selloff, so Microsoft can also serve as a source of funds to buy them then. x.com  x.com 

Microsoft is underpriced relative to its fundamentals, which is why Bill Ackman sold Google to buy it. Its P/E has compressed to 23x, the lowest in years, while Azure grows 39% year over year and AI revenue runs at $37 billion annualized, up 123%. Microsoft and software stocks broadly still look expensive, because AI will get exponentially better over the next two years and the market may reset software valuations much lower. Software valuations have always been ludicrous, and heavy stock-based compensation behind many software revenues is widely ignored.
