Microsoft's position is the most crowded among the Magnificent Seven, and fund flows are against it as funds sell those stocks to reserve cash for Anthropic's IPO. It faded despite an excellent earnings report. x.com

Microsoft's perfect quarter fits a market that rewards free cash flow and punishes capex without an immediate payoff. Cloud growth was extremely strong without a big capex guide-up, and hyperscalers can self-fund the buildout. A steeper yield curve after Warsh's FOMC press conference, as markets price lost inflation control, hurts high-multiple and profitless growth and reinforces that regime. Capex growth is fine as long as revenue grows much faster with positive free cash flow. x.com x.com
Microsoft's delivery delays are affecting earnings, making other sources of returns look safer now. x.com
Anthropic's S-1 and @UncleAlpha007's claim that Microsoft is growing despite a 27% headcount cut have turned the near-term tech-equity view bullish. At least a tradable rally is expected; further upside depends on Iran developments and PCE. Stay nimble. x.com x.com
Microsoft's 50% Azure growth and prospect of positive cash flow in 2027 make the stock look bulletproof. Headcount cuts, lower Anthropic spend, a better Copilot routed to cheaper tokens, and coming proprietary chips and model usage add to the case. It should get Apple's multiple plus recognition for cybersecurity. x.com x.com
Magnificent Seven stocks face continued pressure as AI capex keeps eating their free cash flow with no sign of slowing, and the market is not rewarding the builders for now despite the returns. The recipients of that spending in power, grid, chips and materials, such as TSMC, GE Vernova, Micron and ASML, look better. Concern is greatest for Tesla and Meta, whose recent moves seem disconnected and whose AI showcase was embarrassing; Microsoft, Amazon, Apple and Alphabet are less concerning. x.com
Upcoming SpaceX, Anthropic and OpenAI IPOs will probably pull liquidity out of Microsoft, Meta, software stocks and tax-loss-harvesting losers. A post the author quotes argues those listings over the next few months must draw money away from junkier stocks right after a big speculative run-up, and that it may be time to size up shorts. x.com
Microsoft's OpenAI exposure is a very good reason to keep it alongside Anthropic exposure through Alphabet and Amazon. The prior thought of reducing or exiting Microsoft has given way to a tentative hold, with no plans to add for now. x.com
CoreWeave's growing backlog, active power and GPU pricing make its declining shares look cheaper, though debt and customer cancellations remain risks. Blossom reports backlog rose from $99B to $129.2B, active power from 1GW to 1.5GW and GPU-offering prices by 25%. Its debt burden remains a valid concern. Unusual Whales reports Microsoft pulled out of an Nscale deal, illustrating the risk of hyperscalers leaving neocloud contracts. x.com x.com x.com
Space stocks could regain high-beta flows as SpaceX lockups end and a probable late-November Anthropic IPO threatens AI stocks, much as SpaceX's IPO hurt space names. Hedge funds are overexposed to the Magnificent Seven and underexposed or max short low-quality high beta; falling rates and toppy oil could make the rotation painful for them through 2027. AST SpaceMobile could benefit as intermittent service triggers agreements and Blue Origin possibly returns to the pad in six weeks. x.com x.com
Hedge funds went too lopsided short before Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet's earnings, setting up an aggressive short-covering rally if they deliver this week, as expected. SPCX crushed and ANT's S-1 was quite good, leaving a potential two-week rally on a razor's edge. x.com
Meta's equity offering points to funding pressure as capital is insufficient for all the companies seeking it. Its size was $5 billion off the earlier $100 billion prediction, and it was announced the day of Anthropic's S-1. More equity offerings are expected from companies other than Anthropic and OpenAI. x.com
