IREN could rally to $100+ as its valuation and technicals line up behind its shift from Bitcoin mining to renting AI infrastructure to hyperscalers. Contracted backlog of $3.1 billion ARR from Microsoft and Nvidia, plus Nvidia's 5GW endorsement, bridges it to a very different earnings profile within a year. The key catalyst is the Horizon 1 handoff to Microsoft in Q3; on time, it unlocks the revenue ramp. The risk is capital intensity: liabilities rose from $1.1 billion to $4.6 billion. x.com x.comÂ
IREN's forecast revenue ramp underpins the $100-plus share-price view. It will do $4 billion in ARR by Q1 and $13 billion by the end of next year; comparing today's share price and shares outstanding with its IPO overlooks that expected growth. x.com x.comÂ
IREN's contracted AI-cloud revenue and financing support buying it here. It targets more than $4B in year-end 2026 AI Cloud ARR, with about 85% already contracted as of July; its FY26 update described $4B contracted ARR, $1B already operating, and financing and prepayments designed to cover most GPU capex. x.comÂ
IREN's $3.1 billion of ARR under contract is too speculative to rely on. Per the company, it comprises expected average annual revenue of $1.9 billion from Microsoft and $0.7 billion from Nvidia plus $0.5 billion from Prince George GPU deployments, but includes amounts that earn nothing until GPUs are delivered, commissioned and in service. IREN says there is no assurance contracted GPUs will deliver those hours or prices, and actual revenue may vary materially. x.comÂ
IREN's $8 billion in cash against a valuation of just $10 billion points to unfathomable upside potential. Its shares are back below their $28 IPO price. x.comÂ
IREN and Nebius look most attractive in AI cloud on projected 2027 revenue growth relative to their EV/revenue multiples. IREN is listed at 297% growth and 4.74x, and Nebius at 266% and 4.26x; TeraWulf and Cipher Mining have similar projected growth but multiples above 9x. x.comÂ
IREN and other neoclouds are valued on annualized run rate, a weak metric that wrongly treats infrastructure revenue like SaaS ARR. A two-year take-or-pay deal amortizes a finite GPU cluster rather than renewing like a subscription, and it hides customer concentration and utilization. It also ignores the capital, power, debt service and refresh capex behind the revenue; prepayments and GPU financing do not change that. IREN's stock compensation also rose to $205 million in FY26 from $43 million. … Show more
IREN's long-term appeal rests on its standing as one of the best vertically integrated AI neoclouds. In the short term, the stock has not been this oversold since 2022. x.comÂ
IREN's scarce power assets and AI infrastructure platform are still underestimated by the market. It targets $4 billion+ of AI Cloud ARR with about 85% already contracted, has 730 MW of additional AI capacity under construction for 2027, and uses GPU financing that cuts its effective cost of capital to 3.31%. Consensus free cash flow growth estimates are extraordinary. x.comÂ
IREN's worsening fundamentals warrant patience despite its potential. Trailing free cash flow is -$2.45 billion, net income -$703 million and EPS -$1.64 even as revenue has grown; it needs a catalyst change and a positive trend in fundamentals. x.comÂ
IREN is worth a small position because customer cash funds most of its buildout and its signed contracts are priced like CoreWeave's. Prepayments covered 87% of June-quarter capex, versus 21% at Nebius and 12% at CoreWeave, and ~$14B of cash, financing and prepayments covers its $13.8B in June commitments. EV is 0.88x contract value versus 0.74x for CoreWeave. The main risk is running GPU clouds worse than peers, eased as bulk buyers manage GPUs themselves. $11-16B of capex is unfunded. x.comÂ
