IREN is at a juncture like when it traded at $5 and many lost conviction, and bearish sentiment on X is a contrarian signal, making this a good time to add. The low $30s, near its $31.98 anchored VWAP since IPO, have served as support for eight months, and the choppy consolidation is normal digestion of the 10x move in 2025, though the stock can still fall further. x.com x.comÂ
IREN's $8 billion in cash against a valuation of just $10 billion points to unfathomable upside potential. Its shares are back below their $28 IPO price. x.comÂ
IREN's contracted AI-cloud revenue and financing support buying it here. It targets more than $4B in year-end 2026 AI Cloud ARR, with about 85% already contracted as of July; its FY26 update described $4B contracted ARR, $1B already operating, and financing and prepayments designed to cover most GPU capex. x.comÂ
IREN's worsening fundamentals warrant patience despite its potential. Trailing free cash flow is -$2.45 billion, net income -$703 million and EPS -$1.64 even as revenue has grown; it needs a catalyst change and a positive trend in fundamentals. x.comÂ
IREN and Nebius look most attractive in AI cloud on projected 2027 revenue growth relative to their EV/revenue multiples. IREN is listed at 297% growth and 4.74x, and Nebius at 266% and 4.26x; TeraWulf and Cipher Mining have similar projected growth but multiples above 9x. x.comÂ
IREN's thesis depends on value created per share, not just AI revenue growth, after significant dilution. Shares outstanding rose to about 394.1M as of August 14 from about 258.1M around June 2025, per the latest 10-K. If 5x AI revenue growth needs continual new equity, shareholder economics look very different. If customer prepayments, GPU financing, infrastructure debt and internal cash flow fund more of the $25-30B FY27 capex while share growth slows, the thesis gets much stronger. x.comÂ
IREN looks like a joke company for spending on sponsorships and giving away executive shares without announcing deals. It sponsors sports teams and the All-In podcast while giving its CEO and brother tens of millions of free shares tied to no performance metrics. x.comÂ
IREN's upside rests on valuing it at about 18x EV to sales on roughly $2.7 billion of next-twelve-month ARR. x.com x.comÂ
IREN's long-term appeal rests on its standing as one of the best vertically integrated AI neoclouds. In the short term, the stock has not been this oversold since 2022. x.comÂ
IREN's predatory management and markedly weaker execution than Nebius make it hard to take seriously while Mike Alfred remains on its board. Barring an oversold bounce, IREN looks cooked big time with more time. x.com x.comÂ
IREN can recycle capital from operating AI assets into new GPU deployments. Its $363M Wingspire financing is backed by already deployed, revenue-generating servers and networking, freeing invested cash rather than funding newly purchased GPUs directly. Customer prepayments, ATM proceeds and external financing support upcoming projects and a potential major expansion next year. Returns still depend on borrowing costs, GPU cash flows and execution. x.com x.com x.comÂ
