A hike with a neutral tone, or no hike with a hawkish tone, would bring a choppy rally into the weekend; no hike with a neutral or dovish tone would bring a face-ripping rally; only a hike with a hawkish tone means a selloff. A hawkish Fed surprise could briefly pressure Bitcoin, but any dip remains a chance to accumulate. Kalshi odds of a rate hike ticked up before Bitcoin weakened, and odds of a dissenting vote spiked ahead of FOMC; dissents are usually hawkish. QQQ's resilience is the bullish signal: it has held the proper levels through every headline this year that would have tanked a weaker market. Even when CPI came in hot and rate-hike odds hit 90%, stocks were green across the board, showing that what is priced in matters more than the news. The 10-year yield above 5% limits how far the US equity rally can stretch, even as stocks shrugged off the Fed hold. Two policymakers wanted a hike, the 10-year rose to about 5.04%, and bonds sold while all four major indices closed higher. Rates need to cool for the rally to extend. x.com 

The Nasdaq-100 looks set for a roughly 7% drop over the next month and a half, driven by expected election turmoil. The 10-year Treasury yield is at 5.2% and the dollar index at 101, and the setup rhymes with October 2018. Nasdaq-100 stocks and NVIDIA look like a dip to buy because a 1%-plus gap down over a tweet doesn't add up given how resilient the market has been to data. Hotter-than-expected payrolls, slightly warm PPI and an 80% chance of a rate hike did not bring the market down, though yields did on Thursday, and stocks rose on in-line CPI. Rising oil feeds inflation, tempting Fed chair Warsh to raise rates, which stocks generally dislike.
