Software stocks such as Snowflake, Salesforce and CrowdStrike could be strong tomorrow as money rotates out of end-of-the-world names. x.comÂ

High-quality software stocks such as ServiceNow, Cloudflare, Figma and Palantir look set to gain as money eventually rotates out of crowded semis, memory, data centers, AI infrastructure, space and defense. Software is underloved, and these names rose in sympathy with Snowflake's strong earnings, possibly the start of a rotation. The quiet third month of the quarter is a good time to position for gains into mid-July earnings, and insider buying is a signal worth following. x.comÂ
Snowflake looks like the next big mover: a leading software name one step from a base breakout while software sentiment sits at lows. x.comÂ
Security software is arguably more of an AI bubble than semiconductors. Firms are bid up to nosebleed multiples on moderate AI-related revenue acceleration while facing medium- to long-term risks from Microsoft, Google and the AI labs and a 10-year Treasury yield above 5%. Their forward P/Es rest on non-GAAP earnings that exclude large stock compensation. A reversal could come from results missing high buy-side bars, security share gains by Microsoft or Google, or AI lab security launches. x.com … Show more
Software's relative strength and sound finances make institutional rotation from semis plausible. It could lead while semis consolidate, despite slow growth at some firms; the market rewards cash flow, healthy balance sheets and manageable debt. Salesforce, ServiceNow, Palantir, Shopify and Workday hold up; SAP's cloud and AI shift, Instacart's massive 10-month base, Veeva's massive five-year base and Atlassian's Stage 2 strength add to the case. Semis may still rally; the view can change. x.com … Show more
Snowflake and Oracle join the software names that, at decade lows, can rise at least 2-3x before retirement. The dot-com toppers are the precedent: chip, interconnect, optics and memory names fell 90-95% after 2000 and still came back 1,000-2,000% over 26 years. They now sit beside ServiceNow, Atlassian, Salesforce, Microsoft, Figma, Workday and The Trade Desk, preferred over chasing AI names. @TheShortBear notes investors are capitulating into AI as cheaper stocks keep getting cheaper. x.comÂ
Snowflake, Rubrik, Samsara and MongoDB have become far too bubbly to buy. Microsoft and Meta Platforms were the only good values left in tech. x.comÂ
Snowflake is one of the best software names to catch a rotation out of AI, data center and quantum plays into stocks that actually grow their margins with AI. On the chart, a power gap was followed by a flush-out one day and a regain the next. x.com x.comÂ
Software is nowhere near a floor because AI has broken the assumption behind the sector's premium: very long-duration, highly recurring revenue. Competition is intensifying, new products such as Anthropic's suite far outperform incumbents like Microsoft Copilot, and AI natives move faster without legacy constraints. Accounting flatters results, with Snowflake's SBC above its CY25 free cash flow. Even at 30x GAAP earnings most names have downside, versus Alphabet at 23x and Nvidia at 14x. x.com … Show more
Snowflake's valuation looks full after more than doubling since May on an AI inflection story, given five years of promised inflections that didn't materialize. Stock-based compensation remains heavy at $1.6B against FY2026 revenue of $4.7B, though dilution has been kept in check lately. At about 23x EV/revenue, or 19x forward, it sits near the top of its 2-3 year range. A Databricks IPO could make investors see Snowflake as old relic tech. x.com x.comÂ
Big money is rotating out of overextended chips and AI plays, leaving semiconductor stocks that went straight up as exit liquidity for retail still piling in. The money is moving into software such as Accenture, Salesforce and ServiceNow, energy names Hawaiian Electric and Southern Company, and boring dividend stocks Whirlpool, Target and UPS. It is also flowing into China: Alibaba, JD.com, PDD, Baidu and Chinese internet stocks. x.com x.comÂ
