Few AI infrastructure providers can deliver gigawatt-plus AI factories fast enough to meet the urgent need in BC and the rest of Canada, giving IREN room to scale there. Support from BC's new government and BC Hydro remains a hope. x.comÂ

IREN is playing a different game: it secured the scarce physical layer of land, power and data centers first, so NVIDIA-aligned infrastructure on top creates optionality few can match. In a tightening market, waiting can bring better counterparties and economics, so judge the whole stack, not single deals. Scaled deployments feed data back into design, and a multi-year cloud contract with Figure, whose humanoids need constant simulation and fleet learning, puts IREN inside physical AI. x.com x.com x.com x.com x.comÂ
IREN's owned land, power infrastructure and data centers should retain value even if hyperscalers' own chips compress GPU-leasing margins. Enterprise AI-compute demand is enormous, while most enterprises will not build their own data centers, as Palo Alto Networks CEO Nikesh Arora noted. CoreWeave faces a bigger long-term risk because it relies heavily on third-party infrastructure. x.comÂ
Google's move to buy third-party compute amid supply constraints points to overflow demand for IREN's energized power and liquid-cooled NVIDIA capacity. Google says third-party usage began at the end of Q3 and will ramp in Q4; IREN also has a multi-GW development pipeline and fresh GPU financing. Extremely bullish. x.comÂ
IREN might be exposed to a Microsoft capacity-delivery delay. Microsoft said some third-party GPU-as-a-service contracts have been delayed to the second half of FY27, while RHouse Research asked which neocloud committed to deliver capacity in Q4 2026. The provider is unidentified, but that possibility leaves IREN at risk. x.comÂ
Power scarcity and specialized technology could help these six under-$30 stocks create generational wealth over the next decade. MARA is buying a gas plant; IREN has over 5 GW secured for AI growth. Oklo aims to turn spent fuel into reactor supply, while Nano Nuclear's portable microreactors could reach remote sites if they work. Rigetti builds quantum chips in-house and has a $100 million Commerce Department letter of intent. Navitas makes chips that reduce power waste in AI data centers. x.com … Show more
Microsoft's acceptance of Horizon 1, the first of four 50MW AI cloud deployments under IREN's five-year, $9.7B contract, is nice news for IREN. Per @wallstengine, the site runs Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems and has Nvidia Exemplar Cloud status, Horizons 2-4 are due later this year, and IREN targets 480MW of AI cloud capacity in 2026 and 1.2GW in 2027. x.comÂ
Global resistance to data centers could constrain December cloud growth despite the longer agentic AI buildout. Some estimates say roughly 120 US projects worth over $130B face delays; opposition spans the UK, EU, Australia and Malaysia too. Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon remain favored, though guidance is at risk. CoreWeave, Nebius and IREN may bounce hardest short term but look weak longer term as funding tightens; Elon Musk expects extensive neo-cloud consolidation. x.com x.com x.com x.comÂ
IREN's contracted AI-cloud revenue and financing support buying it here. It targets more than $4B in year-end 2026 AI Cloud ARR, with about 85% already contracted as of July; its FY26 update described $4B contracted ARR, $1B already operating, and financing and prepayments designed to cover most GPU capex. x.comÂ
IREN's 2GW Sweetwater Hub in Texas cleared a material grid hurdle with conditional admission to ERCOT's "Batch Zero" baseload process. Sweetwater 1 accounts for 1,400MW and Sweetwater 2 for 600MW. As AI compute grows power-hungry and electricity scarce, IREN's land, power and over 5GW pipeline make it a coveted neocloud rather than a pure miner. Its GPU cloud now serves Microsoft, NVIDIA, Perplexity, Figure AI and Together AI, and 100% renewable power eases tech giants' approval demands. x.comÂ
Financing strain threatens smaller AI-related plays. Elon Musk says debt markets have nearly closed to firms without substantial non-AI-data-center revenue. Neoclouds, energy, HVAC, electronics and builders will be a much smaller field in a year; its 'guppy' plays can be shorted here toward zero. CoreWeave, IREN and Vertiv look troubled, perhaps Nebius; Ouster, Applied Digital, Ultra Clean, Cipher Digital, WhiteFiber, TeraWulf and IPG Photonics too. x.com x.comÂ
Constellation Energy, Vistra, Oklo, GE Vernova, IREN and Bloom Energy make up the power infrastructure stack an AI economy will need, because every GPU cluster Nvidia sells requires power infrastructure that does not exist yet. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says AI inference demand will grow 1,000x and that this is the best time in history to invest in sustainable energy. He knows what his customers are building because he ships it, and he was early on semis and neoclouds in 2025. x.comÂ
