Partnerships with more than 60 mobile operators representing over 3 billion potential subscribers and about $1.3 billion in contracted revenue backlog support the case. Rocket Lab's growing Space Systems business positions it to provide more than launches for the space economy. It generated $189.5M in Q2, 81% of revenue; if its pending Iridium acquisition closes, it would gain a global satellite communications network. At about $51, this is one of the most compelling long-term opportunities in the space sector over 3-5 years, provided it keeps executing. Voyager Technologies looks particularly interesting as a picks-and-shovels supplier to the space economy. At a $1.5B market cap, it builds propulsion, missile defense, spacecraft electronics, space intelligence and agentic AI, stations, lunar infrastructure and orbital computing; it partners with Palantir and Anduril. Rocket Lab, AST SpaceMobile and Voyager could be like Apple, Microsoft and Intel in the 1980s: their value in two decades matters more than in two years. x.com 

AST SpaceMobile and Rocket Lab look more lucrative as shorts than semiconductors, given extreme sales multiples. Rocket Lab trades at 127x sales at $150, and AST SpaceMobile at 588x at $130 after already missing its Q1 revenue target.
