Staking rewards are paid in the native token, so many users sell them, while unlocks and new supply grow faster than demand. Low liquidity magnifies the drops. Bitcoin's capped 21 million supply and growing institutional adoption give it upside while it is still early in its adoption curve. Spot ETFs, corporate treasuries and sovereigns are adopting it, it hedges currency debasement, and its fall from over $123,000 to about $62,000 is perhaps an opportunity. The stock fell about 74% this year as bitcoin fell 30%, yet holdings grew to about 8,300 BTC, lifting bitcoin per share about 37% to roughly 11,400 sats; gross mNAV fell from about 3.6x to near 1x. Mining adds bitcoin without matching dilution: 932 BTC in Q2 at a reported $36,500 cost versus a $63,000 price.
