Semiconductors could stay undersupplied for a long time as more capable AI per dollar creates more uses and drives compute demand. Micron and NVIDIA trade at low forward P/Es because investors fear peak cyclical earnings, yet current earnings show no slowdown. SpaceX's beat has relit the AI trade and given semiconductors a fresh catalyst. Chips led Wednesday's close, with AMD, Nvidia, Micron, Marvell and Broadcom all up, but SMH is still below its 21-day average near 594. Tech and semiconductor bounces are mainly driven by less urgent hedge-fund selling rather than fresh buying. Per Goldman Sachs, tech is still being sold amid very low activity; there is no sign risk has been added yet. The unwind may be nearing its end, especially as hyperscalers stick to capex plans and Q3 semiconductor earnings look likely to be positive. Less crowded positioning and more normal multiples leave a healthier base for a longer-term rebuild. x.com 

Rapid revenue growth against forward valuations makes Nvidia and Micron additional calculated risks after the selloff, alongside Meta, Broadcom, IREN, Vistra, Nokia and Oracle. Nvidia grew revenue 106% and guides Q3 to $108B, plus or minus 2%, at 17.5x forward earnings; Micron grew revenue 379% to $54.2B, guides $61.5B next quarter and trades at 5x. The other six retain their growth, contracted-demand or customer-order cases. x.com 

The semiconductor sector's bloat makes selectivity important. Nvidia, TSMC and ASML are among the best businesses still worth owning, but not every name will recover from this month's selloff. Chasing unprofitable, highly leveraged small caps should be a lesson from the selloff. x.com 

Semiconductors have likely already put in a major top, with their first bounce extremely weak. Semis are working back into big-volume selling with weak upside volume, and many stocks aren't joining the hardware rally as they should. Everyone on X still wants these stocks despite poor price action and volume, which is classic market-topping behavior. x.com  x.com 

Low PEG ratios and continuing AI demand make leading AI stocks attractive after rolling corrections. Nvidia is at 0.39x PEG, Amazon 0.64x, Broadcom 0.66x, Micron 0.73x, Oracle 0.59x and TSMC 0.41x. This usually signals at least a local bottom, possibly a major one; midterm-year seasonality helps into year-end. Nvidia, Broadcom and Amazon remain favorites; Micron and TSMC look buyable on dips. Low PEG can mislead if growth slows or estimates are wrong. x.com 

Physical AI's reliance on semiconductors across its technology layers could make it the next theme to drive another rally in semiconductor stocks. Micron recently echoed this view. There is still much to learn about the field. x.com 

Semiconductors will need time to repair and build a base after the current correction stops. Price action deteriorated through June, with wide, loose moves, many gains made on gap-ups and overconfident traders, signs of an overcrowded group. New supply from the SK hynix ADR came at horrendous timing and hurt the group further. The correction is healthy for the market, and earnings from chipmakers and especially hyperscaler capex will offer clues on the group's health. x.com 

Semiconductor leaders look better placed than high-beta stocks with poor company models. TSMC, ASML, Nvidia and memory should lead the sector and belong in the buy basket, with Broadcom not far behind. The CPU basket is only a hold: much of its upside was priced in during Intel and AMD's run. x.com
