Crypto assets should reprice upward as purchasing power falls and nearly everything else costs more. Tokenization is still in its earliest stage and should reward patient investment in projects positioned to capture it; an altcoin portfolio centered on Ethereum and value-accrual tokens, with some Robinhood and Arc exposure, should outperform nearly everything over six to twelve months. Crypto's coming run will be much larger than 2020's because stock-market and gold runs into 2026 exceeded those into 2020. Bitcoin's and Ethereum's runs into 2025 also exceeded those into 2019. Macro-risk ratios across stocks, metals, oil, PMI and crypto again resemble 2016 and 2020, positioning Bitcoin, Ethereum and altcoins for a major bull run. The era of buying Ether or Solana to make money looks over, as money circulates among smaller tokens while the majors stay flat. First Robinhood's chain and now Arc have drawn the flows. Even whether ETH and SOL are safe havens is debatable, since the top 100 shows these patterns will change. x.comÂ
Robinhood's growing prediction markets, options and Gold subscriptions make the $90s one of the most exciting times to buy. Q3 event-contract revenue reached $173 million, up over sixfold, options rose 31% to $399 million, and Gold subscribers reached a record 5.2 million. Crypto revenue fell 55% year over year to $120 million, and Dr. Crossroads reported misses on revenue and EPS; Robinhood remains a great buy as its international reach and banking services expand. x.com x.com x.comÂ
Robinhood is oozing free cash flow despite the less favorable market. At 27x forward free cash flow, it is an undeniable bargain, and the stock is unlikely to get much cheaper. The near-term outlook is not particularly exciting, but risk appetite will return and investors will trade aggressively again; a crypto recovery would light a spark under the business. Ethereum's strong ecosystem is not translating into enough ETH value capture to support significant appreciation unless that changes. The Ethereum Foundation selling ETH again is frustrating; buybacks and stronger incentives for L2s to accumulate and buy back ETH could improve the token's economics. Robinhood's position as the first true institution to come on-chain may give it staying power beyond a hype cycle. Hype cycles come and go, but it is too early to count Robinhood out; its presence is unlikely to disappear over the long term. x.comÂ
Robinhood could benefit from a crypto rebound if yields and oil/war concerns resolve and the midterms pass. It is starting to look interesting again under $100 and is the safest, more diversified way to play that move. x.comÂ
Growing onchain stock activity makes cryptocurrencies less compelling even as blockchains succeed. Active RWA TVL in DeFi rose from $15M to $332M in ten months, over 20x. Stocks are set to eat crypto on its own turf, not the other way around. x.comÂ
Crypto's Wild West reputation creates market inefficiencies and, therefore, great opportunity. It looks to have decoupled from stocks over the past year, though the risky narrative persists. x.comÂ
