Adjusted revenue rose 44% to $1.4B, EBITDA 70% to $470M and members 35% to 17.1M; 2026 guidance rose to $5.04B, with a new 2027 outlook of $6.4B and $0.90 EPS. By far one of the strongest reports amid poor sentiment, this makes SoFi one of the best long-term opportunities. American Express's continued growth makes its lower forward multiple than Mastercard and Visa a very attractive long-term opportunity. It trades at 16.7x forward earnings against more than 26x for each peer. All three sold off earlier this year, but Mastercard and Visa reached new highs while American Express remains down 15.6% year to date. x.com 

SoFi is not a special business, and its CEO's $1 trillion ambition is unrealistic: JPMorgan is worth $800B today, so SoFi reaching $1T would take inflation rendering dollars worthless. Its customers are insignificant, since nobody with money uses SoFi; people with money use real banks. American Express's credit risk keeps its multiple below Visa's or Mastercard's, but that persistently low valuation lets management retire shares steadily. At 16x forward earnings it is not especially cheap by its own history; 28% of shares were retired over ten years.
