Applied Optoelectronics is now an execution story with almost no room for error, not a demand story. Its ~$1.1B 2026 target needs Q4 revenue near $484M, up 78% on Q3 guidance, and 2026 operating profit looks closer to $59M than the $140M+ target management didn't repeat. Q2's profit came from a tax benefit. Shares are up 43.7% y/y on ATM sales, DSP and TIA shortages cap 1.6T, and the top 10 customers are 99% of revenue.
